I would like to ask what do you think i should do. I am fat (not that fat). I love mountain biking aswell as snowboarding. I already have a mountain bike (Giant Boulder 2008) My problem about mountain biking is that i don’t have stamina also i am fat and my problem for snowboarding is that it cost alot of money. What do you think I should do?

My mountain bike finally gave out. I love mountain biking but I was thinking about buying a road bike. I have never tried a road bike but I sure would like to try it out.

I’m a total newbie to serious biking..
I just use my bike to bike around the neighborhood and thats pretty much it.
I have a bike right now but I doubt that its any good.. I got it from my parents a couple of years ago when I was in middle school, but I really want to start mtbiking because it sounds like a lot of fun.
What are the basic techniques that I have to learn?

I mountain bike and recently while climbing I would bottom out and my peadals and crankset would hit large rocks or even the ground. I only have the problems going up hill and not down. Is my seat to low? Is my frame to small? I cant firgure it out and its annoying. Thanks…

They featured a rider named Eric Vanhala (spelling?). He was a big guy whom I think Ned Overend discovered and signed him on the Specialized team. This Eric guy was supposed to be the next big thing in the mountain biking world. What happened to this guy? Was he a huge disappointment? Where is he?

I’ve broke 4 shoelaces since the start of year mountain biking. I need to find a pair of shoes that I can wear mountain biking, without laces. Vans and converse slipons seem a bit flimsy, any other suggestions. Right now I have been wearing skate shoes without laces, and I tried Doc Martens but the laces broke two fast. Now they don’t have shoelaces. Any suggestions, I’ve trying tucking the laces in, and double knotting, yet trail side branches, and rubbing next to the gears and chain, break them quickly, or if they don’t the next time I wear the shoes the laces break when I’m at work or out and about. It’s really embarrasing to have to finish what i’m doing and then find shoelaces. Anyone else with this problem?

I’m not sure whether to use clipless pedals when i mountain bike or just platform pedals.

My bike has no front shocks, it is a road bike. Should I not go off road biking on trails and stuff with it even if I put offroad tires on it?

I want to know what the best clipless/platform petal is for mountain biking or should I just get clipless petals?
