Whats the best clothing to wear while hiking in the Mountains?

The weather will be cold mornings but warm afternoons in the mountains of Idaho. I want to buy the best for my hunt. I will be hiking 4 miles a day for 7 days through the mountains.

Can any please tell me which would be the best hiking trail to waterfall around cades cove area in smoky mountains national park. We would like to spend a couple of hours for hiking.

On the map it looks like good mountains near Chandigarh, or up in Kashmir. Can I fly into any of these places from Delhi, then get a local hotel and rent a mountain bike for a day or two on the weekend?

I will be hiking in Maui, and some of the hikes involve walking across or through streams, and swimming to get to the next part of the trail. I don’t want to switch shoes out, because it would be a hassle to keep one pair of shoes dry. I feel comfortable spending around $100 if needed, because I don’t want any blisters or sore feet while on vacation! Can you recommend a shoe for me?

I’m doing Kilimanjaro next year and need a really good pair of hiking boots, which I would like to buy from a store who specialise in this and who will spend time really fitting them properly for me, rather than trying to fob me off with the first pair I try on! Any suggestions much appreciated.
